I collected these drug-related quotes while surfing the web. They might not be that many, but they sure are the best :D They are also sorted so you’ll read the short and good ones at the end :P

UPDATE: I’m updating this post because I received a nice feedback on this topic from some cool people. They sent me a few new drug related quotes and it would be a great shame not to share it with you guys. The new ones can be found right below (I have bolded them to stand out from the rest). Thank you!

See I think drugs have done some good things for us, I really do and if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us do me a favor: go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your cds and burn ‘em. ’cause you know the musicians who made all that great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years…. rrrrrrrrreal fuckin’ high on drugs. … Bill Hicks

Did you know America ranks the lowest in education but the highest in drug use? It’s nice to be number one, but we can fix that. All we need to do is start the war on education. If it’s anywhere near as successful as our war on drugs, in no time we’ll all be hooked on phonics. … Leighann Lord

Failed Pot Smuggling Attempt

Quite smart I sould say, but not from Jamaica to Canada. Still it’s pretty funny to see what crossed their mind :)

Slut Machine

This just a small part of photographer’s Nikola Tamindzic work. His art can be found under his website named Home of the Vain. Be sure to visit it for more hars and authentic nightlife photography with everything it includes.

Slut Machine

“Born in Belgrade in 1973, Nikola Tamindzic established his reputation when he started shooting nightlife reportage for Nick Denton’s notorious Gawker in 2004. The photo galleries fused Gawker’s irreverent editorial vision with Tamindzic’s photographic talents to present the faces of the time in a less mediated way. Today, he lives and takes pictures in the Lower East Side, and his distinctive style has breathed much needed life into the somewhat jaded genre of nightlife photography.
Using his nightlife past as a springboard, Tamindzic’s current work revolves around the portrait. His approach creates scenes which reflect a fascination with the theatrical, the extreme, and that which is differently beautiful; if art ultimately deals with our individual relationships to each other and to the world, the fundamentals of how we see each other, and how our bodies coexist with one another and the objects around us, then this is perfectly embodied in Nikola Tamindzic’s portraiture, where the degree of intimacy established between the author and the subject - and the tensions such intimacy provokes - might be considered to be the true subject of his work.”

Narcotics - Pit Of Despair

One of the best drug-scare movies made. It comes in four parts, but it’s worth watching. They don’t do documentaries like this nowadays. Take note this is from 1967 which puts it before Woodstock and all the hippie movement getting big.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part3:

Part 4:

This can be regarded as a documentary on the society of those days, mainly the youngsters, hipsters, party people and college students. The music is very nice too :)

Build This Bong

I saw this in a comic book store in Brussels, near the stock exchange (they sold Kid Robot toys also) and thought it would look so good on this blog. Unfortunately I was on a rush and couldn’t buy it at that time. I”ll order it soon on Amazon so be ready to read a review sometime in the near future :D

Unique Smoking Pipes

I featured in the past how to make a waterfall bong out of a glass bottle, a vaporizer using only a light-bulb, but now it’s time for something that will blow you away.

Introducing the Water Gun bong:

And if that wasn’t enough here we have the Candy CanePipe:

Makes smoking even more fun, doesn’t it?

Pills and Chewing Gum

Pill-poppers everywhere would agree that gum is the second best thing next to water while munching some pills. A girl is nice too I know, but this is an entry about art so enjoy Maurizio Savini’s pink chewing gum sculptures.

Some credit goes to Eclectic Cow’s blog because I saw it there, but it does look better here…and it fits quite well :P

Cooking With Magic Mushrooms

It’s about time I posted some magic mushrooms meal recipes. And since there was another post involving tea and ice-cream, this one will feature cooked food :D

Magic Mushroom Jacket Potato

Ingredients:

1. Medium sized potatoes: (depending on how many you want to eat) my favorites are sweet ones :D
2. Filling: can be anything you like, it can be some grated cheese or grated veggies, or anything you like
3. Freshly Dried Mushrooms
4. Butter or margarine if you prefer
5. Tin Foil for wrapping your potatoes
6. Cooking gloves (this will be hot)

Preparation:

First set your oven to 180 degrees and get it preheated and ready to cook.
Wrap your potatoes in tin foil and place them onto a baking tray in the middle shelf of your preheated oven.
Cook for 15 minutes then check if the potatoes are baked. If not, leave them inside for another 5 minutes (remember you don’t want to overcook them). Certain types of potatoes take longer to bake then other.
Take out you tray and open the tin foil surrounding your baked potatoes. Cut a hole or + shape in the middle of each potato.
Drop some butter or margarine inside.
Chop you dried mushrooms into little bits and pour them over the butter. You can add some dried mint leaves (also chopped).
You can drop the desired filling over the mushrooms and then pour some cheese over the whole mix.
Leave it inside the oven for a little longer so that the cheese melts nicely. At this point the tin foil can be removed or you can keep it so the mix doesn’t fall out. I recommend taking it out as it will stick to your melted cheese.
Let it cool for a little while and enjoy!

Chilli con Trippy

Ingredients:

Rice (any type of grain you like)
500 grams beef mince (vegemince works well but steer clear of quern mince it falls apart)
Two tins chopped tomatoes (I prefer fresh to chop some fresh ones instead)
1 Onion
Kidney beans
Hot chilli powder (original recipe is with hot, but some people can’t stand it. use sweet in that case)
Sugar

Preparation:

Brown the mince in a wok (frying pan will do but woks limit the mess and it’s more traditional).
Then add both tins of tomatoes and a table spoon of chili powder. Drain and add the kidney beans.
Chop enough onion for your taste and add it to the mix.
Now add at least two table spoons of sugar (or more if you like sweet food) remember to stir in after each ingredient.
Reduce the heat to the lowest setting and leave it for 10 minutes stirring 2 or 3 times to prevent burning and sticking to the wok.
Remember to taste the mix and add more chili or sugar if needed.
In parallel put a pan of hot tap water on to boil, add some salt and oil (salt increases the boiling temp of water and cooks the rice slightly quicker and oil stops the grains sticking to each other). Once the water is boiling add the rice and reduce the heat. Boil the rice until the grains are soft and fatty.
While the rice is cooking chop each person’s shrooms portion as small as you can.
Don’t forget to stir the rice and meat mixing every 2-3 minutes.
Once the rice is cooked drain the water and put it on a plate.
Mix each portion of chili beef together with the person’s dose of shrooms.
Serve the mixing on a bed of rice on a clean plate.

The effects should come in after 45 minutes and start with a mild tripping. After another 45 minutes the shrooms will kick in and you will find yourself tripping for 4-5 hours depending on your dosage and metabolism.

Chicken and mushroom curry

Ingredients:

Rice (any type of grain you like)
500 grams diced chicken breast
Jar of commercial curry sauce (you can make it yourself if you like)
Sugar

Preparation:

Brown the chicken in a wok (frying pan will do but woks limit the mess and it’s more traditional) using the smallest temperature setting.
Add the curry sauce, stir it and add at least two table spoons of sugar (or more if you like it to be sweeter) then stir the mixing some more.
Put a pan of hot tap water on to boil, add some salt and oil, and once the water is boiling add the rice and reduce heat.

Mushroom Sesame Balls

Ingredients:

Dried, finely ground mushrooms of your choice
Best whole sesame seeds you can find (twice as much as the mushrooms)
Fine honey
Dash of salt

Preparation:

Toast the sesame seeds lightly in a dry cast iron frying pan on medium-high setting, stirring heartily. When they start popping and smelling great, you know you fried them enough.
Pour them into a bowl and let them cool. Set a small handful aside, then whiz the rest in a blender until there’s only about 30% whole seeds visible. Add mushrooms, and whiz again.
Pour into a bowl, add small amount of salt and enough honey to attain clay-like consistency. Roll into one-inch balls, licking hands frequently. Roll balls in whole sesame seeds, store in tightly sealed container in a cool place.
Simply enjoy it ;)

Original recipes found on Shroomery. I just modified them a bit so they are a lot more comprehensible and easier to understand and make.
